Frequently Asked Questions:

  • What the heck do you do in a 3-hour massage?
    • The same thing you do in a 1-hour massage ... except we slow it down and take our time so it's less likely to be uncomfortable and more likely to be more soothing!
  • Humble home studio? What's that about?
    • Way out in the country, about half-way between Red Bank and Pelion, situated in the back of a mobile-home-zoned subdivision (this ain't no trailer park) sits a rugged, large, single-wide built in 2008 that has seen better days. But I promise to present a clean, tidy environment to give you my best signature massage.
  • I checked the calendar but these days and times don't work the best for me. Can I get another time or date?
    • Usually the answer is "No." Before COVID shut downs I was already planning on moving away from massage full-time, COVID just brought the transition sooner than I would have liked. I have a full-time job else where and I continue to work as a Licensed Massage & Bodywork Therapist because I love the work! It's a great way for me to earn money. And doing so out of a home studio brings great tax advantages with really low overhead costs, that's why it's so affordable!
    • That being said, there might be some flexibility that the calendar robots don't know about. I encourage you to schedule a session you can show up for and then text for special scheduling accomodations.
  • Prepay?! Why would I do that?!
    • Requiring prepayment is a great way for me to weed out the unreliable folks who mean well but have an unfortunate history of being surprised for their massage bill. And with my limited availability, and because hugs don't pay the light bill, prepayment makes sense for securing your dedicated appointment. The scheduler always includes the current cancellation policy and flat rate.
    • That being said, well-behaved clients with a history of respecting their time and mine and are good at paying on time are eligible to schedule an invoiced massage at the end of their sessions which provides more flexibility in paying for your massage.
  • Okay, but what if I don't want 3 hours, can I get a shorter session for less?
    • No. Again, I have limited availability, limited room for an abundance of table linens, and one washer and dryer, and a whole beautiful life to live. It just makes sense for me to limit my availability to 1 per day on the days I'm available. Essentially, you are paying for my availability and dedicated time as a licensed professional.
    • However, all of my massages will be customized to my clients' stamina. In the massage world we say this and it means I wouldn't dream of trying to put you through more than you can stand.
    • Also, the most fun I ever have is someone who starts out by saying, "Just a heads up, I don't know that I can stand to lay still for 3 hours" and by the end of it we're both saying "I can't beleive 3 hours is over already!"
  • Oh, so you're a masseuse who has a massage parlor in your home? TRIGGER WARNING: THE ANSWER INVOLVES SOME HISTORY ABOUT THE INTERSECTION OF THE MASSAGE INDUSTRY AND SEX, if it doesn't suit you, click here to go back to the top of this page or click here to go to the bottom of this page for the Customer Support Contact information. Or you can click here for a useless random website on the internet.
    • First of all, I am not a prostitute, I will not engage with your genitals for money. I am a state-licensed professional. I want to keep it that way. My version of a "happy ending" is where I finish a professional massage, you pay, and leave without incident or sexual proposition.
    • Second of all, I beleive education is key to reducing the stigma and misunderstanding so here goes:
      • "Masseuse" is a woman and in other parts of the world might mean a professional who is not a prostitue
      • "Masseur" is a man and in other parts of the world might mean a professional who is not a prostitute
      • Both terms in the United States of America have a history of sexual favors for pay under the guise of massage
      • A "parlor" is usually a reference to what may very well be a brothel disguised as a spa in the United States of America. In the state of South Carolina, massage establishments, include home-based business like mine, need to be inspected and licensed. My home office's establishment license number is 115 if you care to confirm it.
      • Unfortunately in the United States of America, in states where prostitution remians illegal, like South Carolina, sex trafficking is a reality. If you suspect sex trafficking or any other human trafficking, or are yourself the victim of sex trafficking or any other human trafficking, there is hope! The National Human Trafficking Resource Center is a non-governmental organization which provides confidential help and information and can be reached by calling (888) 373-7888, texting INFO to 233733, or visiting their website at https://humantraffickinghotline.org/.

Now that you survived all that and stuck around to the end, it's time to head over to https://schedule.outcomesryan.net to book your next massage!
